The Education and Training section’s mission is to develop the Wright-Patterson AFB workforce for current and future assignments through effective and efficient management of Education and Training products and services.

 This is accomplished through a variety of programs and services available to military and civilian personnel. From academic and vocational advising to military development programs to workforce development training, many opportunities exist to further develop your professional skills.

Programs & Services

Education & Training

Education and Training Services is the focal point for education services including academic and vocational advising, educational and military testing, military tuition assistance and the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF).

Base & Formal Training

Base and Formal Training are the focal points for military developmental programs, formal schools quota management, military OJT programs, enlisted specialty programs, and ancillary training.

Workforce Development

Workforce Development is the focal point for facilitated developmental activities and development and delivery of cross-functional, no-tuition, competency-based in-house training. Training includes (but is not limited to) skills in the following areas: communication, team-building, computer and distance learning applications, quality, management, and tactical leadership.

Virtual Classes

  • The Education and Training Section offers a variety of virtual classes on computer applications, self-development, process improvement, and interpersonal skills via Commercial Virtual Remote (CVR) MS Teams.

Civilian Associates Degree Program

  • The Air Force’s leadership development center has made it much easier for the service’s civilians to apply for its associate degree program. They can now apply at any time directly to the Civilian Leadership Development School’s admissions department. Applying directly to the school also means students can start taking classes within four weeks of their acceptance into the program.

Satellite Office Now in Area A!

The Education & Training Office has a Satellite Office in Area A at the Professional Development Center (Bldg 1226).
An Education Counselor will be available Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 8:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.
