Community Programs at Wright-Patterson AFB focuses on promoting a sense of belonging and social interaction by offering community events such as concerts, BBQ contests, pumpkin carving, comedians, magicians, an annual tree-lighting party and much more!
Smash Up Comedy Tour
Come out for an evening of family entertainment and laughs as Air Force Entertainment presents “stand-up magician” Derek Hughes and high-energy comedy-drumming duo rePercussion!
Doors open at 4 pm. Show starts at 6:30 pm. Food and drinks will be available for purchase until 6 pm. Stop by after the show for a meet & greet with the performers. Entry is free and seating is first come, first served.
Planes, Tunes & BBQ
The 88FSS is hosting a brand-new, free event featuring midsize RC plane demonstrations, a BBQ competition, live music with headliner Ryan Daniel, craft show and more! Bring the family out for a great day of fun. Open to anyone with base access.

Wright-Patt Luau
The Wright-Patt Luau was the event of the summer! This event featured family-friendly entertainment including live music, hula dancers, pedal-wagon tours, fire dancers, a limbo contest, Hawaiian food, free pool access, aerial demonstration by the Army Golden Knights, and meet & greet with the Air Force Thunderbirds. A Free buffet was given to anyone who signed up to be a Country Club member!
Sounds of Summer Concert Series
The 88FSS proudly presented the 2023 Sounds of Summer Concert Series at Turtle Pond!
This FREE, family-friendly, 3-part concert series featured a new band and genre of music at each show!
June: Zack Attack; a high-energy throwback band playing R&B, Hip Hop, Pop and Alternative music.
July: Fleetwood Gold; a Fleetwood Mac Tribute band playing the best of Fleetwood Mac, from the early years to Stevie Nicks’ solo career.
August: Ryan Broshear; a country music artist with a powerful voice and energetic stage show.
